The Atlantic Council published a new report, “A Transatlantic Strategy for a Democratic Tunisia,” co-authored by POMED’s Deputy Director for Research Amy Hawthorne, along with Frances Burwell, Karim Mezran, and Elissa Miller. The publication offers a variety of economic and diplomatic recommendations as part of a larger transatlantic strategy to help Tunisia “achieve greater stability, prosperity, and democracy.” The report argues that, “To help Tunisia as it moves away from the immediate post-revolutionary period, the United States and the EU must develop a joint transatlantic strategy that recognizes Tunisia as a priority for Western engagement with the Arab world.” The full report is available here.
