بغض النظر عن الخبرة، أو طريقة العمل، أو السياق، أو الموقع الجغرافي، فإن الاتصالات تشكل عنصرًا أساسيًا هامًا في عمل منظمات المجتمع المدني. تسمح الاتصالات الاستراتيجية الناجعة للمنظمات البحثية بمشاركة وتعزيز نتائجها وتوصياتها كما تضمن مساعدة منظمات وحملات المناصرة في زيادة الوعي العام وحشد الدعم. تبني استراتيجيات الاتصالات السليمة الجسور الحساسة مع وسائل الإعلام، والتي تعد عنصر مهم في المجتمع المدني في حد ذاتها، كما تضمن إدارة العمليات الداخلية بشكل جيد وأن موظفي المنظمة على دراية جيدة وقادرون على تنسيق المهام بفعالية.-ة

يهدف الدليل الذي أصدرناه هذا العام إلى توجيه المنظمات من خلال عملية تطوير خطة الاتصالات الاستراتيجية. يتضمن الدليل أمثلة ملموسة وأدوات تعلم بصرية وتدريبات عملية مصممة لمساعدة المؤسسات على تطوير بيانات المهمة، ووضع خرائط للجمهور المستهدف، وكتابة البيانات الصحفية، وبناء قواعد بيانات الوسائط.ـ

Irrespective of expertise, mode of work, context, or location, communications comprise an important, core element of a civil society organization’s work. Sound communications strategies allow research organizations to share and promote their findings and recommendations and help advocacy organizations raise public awareness and mobilize support. Sound communications strategies build critical bridges with the media, an important element of civil society in itself, and ensure that internal operations are well managed and that organization staff are well-informed and able to coordinate tasks effectively.

The guide we have produced this year aims to steer organizations through the process of developing a strategic communications plan. The guide includes tangible examples, visual learning tools, and practical worksheets designed to help organizations develop mission statements, map out target audiences, write press releases, and build media databases.
