Cathrine Abuamsha is a licensed Palestinian lawyer with an LL.M. degree from Syracuse University College of Law, specializing in International Law and Human Rights. She is a recipient of the Open Society Foundation’s Palestinian Rule of Law Award 2017.

Currently, Cathrine is a legal and international advocacy officer at the BADIL Resource Center for Palestinian Residency and Refugee Rights. She also volunteers as an advisory council member for World Vision. Previously, she served as the local advocacy manager at 7amleh – the Arab Center for the Advancement of Social Media, where she coordinated privacy and data protection projects and represented 7amleh in the Palestinian Digital Rights Coalition, comprising more than 15 member organizations. Before joining 7amleh, she worked as an advocacy lawyer for Al-Haq.
